What are Hex Bolts? What are they used for?

Hex bolts are a way of attaching parts together in the construction industry. They have been around since the early 1900s and were first popularised by Henry Ford who used them to attach his Model T car body panels together. The hex bolt is designed to be a more secure, stronger solution than traditional fasteners such as machine screws or rivets. It has become one of the most widely used types of fastener in many industries including aerospace, automotive, building, marine and manufacturing.

The hex bolt was invented by Charles F. Kettering (1866-1957) while working at General Electric Company’s research laboratory in Schenectady, New York. He patented the design on April 12th, 1901.

Hex bolts are commonly used in construction projects such as building decks or fences. They come in various sizes and shapes and are usually made from steel.

Hex bolts are used to connect two pieces of wood together. The hex bolt has six sides (or faces) and each side has a number of holes. These holes allow the bolt to be inserted into the wood and then tightened down using a wrench.

You can easily purchase hex bolts at home improvement stores. If you want to build something bigger, you may need to get them from a hardware store or order directly with Aramfix.com!
