Color codes Threaded Rods

Why have the ends of threaded rods colors? This is to serve a quick orientation on the steel grade their made of. According standard DIN976-1 page 11 chapter 6. Tabel 3 and ASTM F1554 anchor rods there is a approved color marking for threaded rods.

Be aware, some companies change the color by own specification which have nothing to do with the standard. This is often used in a coloring system for pricing. Manufacturers color their rods according this standard.
